- To arouse pupils’ interest in learning English through various learning activities.
- To facilitate pupils’ language skills which include listening, speaking, reading and writing through phonics teaching, writing exercises and story reading.
- To arouse pupils’ interest in self-directed learning.
- To strengthen pupils’ reading strategies and their reading habits.
- To enhance pupils’ reading and writing skills, the Space Town Literacy Programme is carried out across P.1-3 classes by the NET, ELTAs and local English teachers.
- To create the STEAM learning atmosphere in our school, teachers apply ‘Artificial Intelligence’ (AI) in the lessons.
- o stimulate students’ self-learning ability and allow pupils to explore the world, teachers hold lessons in the InnoWorld and use the flight simulator in English lessons.
- Fostering positive values and attitudes “Perseverance”, “Respect for Others”, “Responsibility”, “National Identity”, “Commitment”, “Integrity”, “Benevolence”, Law-abidingness”, “Empathy”, Diligence”, “Unity” and “Filial Piety” in daily teaching and through English activities such as excursions and theme-based learning activities.

- Teaching enabling skills like research skills, High Frequency Words, phonics skills, dictionary skills, word formation and note-taking skills to help students develop self-directed learning.
- Introduction of different text types and teaching specific features and grammar of the text types.
- Reading across the curriculum and introduction of non-fiction or information texts.
